ICT to start placing arguments against Hassan Ali April 15

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Tuesday set April 15 to start placing arguments against Syed Md Hassan Ali, an alleged Razakar commander from Tarail area of Kishoreganj.
The ICT-1 set the date as advocate Abdus Shukur Khan, state-appointed counsel for Hassan, infamously known as Razakar Daroga, concluded quizzing investigation officer (IO), also the last prosecution witness, Hari Debnath.
The first tribunal on September 15, 2014, initiated trial against fugitive Hassan in absentia and appointed advocate Khan to represent the accused before the court.
On November 11, 2014, the ICT-1 indicted Hassan and framed six charges of crimes against humanity against him, including genocide, murder, abduction and torture.
