ICC T20 World Cup : Bangladesh storm into final round

Bangladesh stormed into the final round of the ICC T20 World Cup crushing Papua New Guinea (PNG) by 84 runs in their last Group-B qualification match at the Al Amerat Stadium in Oman on Thursday.
Electing to bat first, Bangladesh piled up a mammoth total of 181 for the loss of seven wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and then shot out PNG for 97 off 19.3 overs.
Shakib Al Hasan played the key role to earn the much-awaited victory. His all-round performance guided Bangladesh to enter the final round. Shakib scored 46 and captured four wickets at the cost of nine runs.
Besides, Mahmudullah hit a captain’s knock of 50. Liton Das added 29 runs to the Bangladesh total.
