A wife was killed by husband at Kakorkandi area in Nalitabari upazila of Sherpur district on at about 11 pm on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Bilkis Begum daughter of Md Amzad Hosen at Kakorkandi in Nalitabari upazila of Serpur district.
Sources and police said Ismail Hosen married bilkis Begum 7 years ago. A familial conflict was going on between husband and wife for three years. On Saturday night Ismail Hosen went to his father in law’s house. At about 11 pm, husband and wife engaged in a serious quarrel and at one stage the agitated husband hit his wife indiscriminately with a knife. At this Biskis Begum wounded seriously. People took her to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital and she breathed her last there. Four others were also injured .
