Turongomi’s latest production Ho Chi Minh will be premiered at the National Theatre Hall, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy today.
There will be two staging of the production at 7:30pm and 8:30pm respectively. These ticket shows are open for all.
The production- Ho Chi Minh is based on the life, journey and philosophy of the legendary Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh. Besides, Ho Chi Minh, the production aims to showcase a glimpse of legendary leader Vladimir Lenin.
This is going to be the first ever biography dance theatre in the world. Tickets are available at all outlets of BishwaRong and Studio Padma, New Iskaton and at the venue cash counter before the show.
On September 6, Ho Chi Minh will be staged again at the National Theatre, after Vietnam’s National Day celebration by the Embassy of the SR of Vietnam in Bangladesh. The staging on September 6 is already being reserved.
On 21 January, Turongomi premiered Waterness – the first ever dance theatre in Bangladesh. In past four years the repertory has brought many short length choreographies to its audience, but Ho Chi Minh is the full length dance theatre by Turongomi after Waterness.
Ho Chi Minh Biography Dance Theatre is produced and performed by Turongomi Repertory Dance Theatre. The production is conceptualised, scripted, designed, choreographed and directed by Pooja Sengupta; music is done by Suman Sarkar. The production is supported by The Embassy of the SR of Vietnam in Bangladesh.
