Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Sylhet and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Dhaka, Khulna and Barishal divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country.
Day temperature may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius and night temperature may fall slightly over the country, said a met office press release in the city on Wednesday.
The axis of monsoon trough runs through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and the West Bengal to Assam across the central part of the country. One of its associated trough extends up to the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is active over the country and moderate elsewhere over the North Bay.
Country’s maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 35.6 degree Celsius at Rajshahi and Wednesday’s minimum temperature 24.6 degree Celsius was recorded at Teknaf.
Maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6:00am on Wednesday was recorded by 132 millimeters (mm) at Sylhet.
