The lawyers in Chittagong under the banner of Circuit Bench Implementation Parishad demanded commissioning of High Court circuit bench in Chittagong by next January as announced by the chief justice SK Sinha recently. The lawyers in a press meet on Saturday at Chittagong Press Club Auditorium said the declaration of the chief justice need to be implemented as long waited demands of the lawyers . The speakers in the press meet demanded intervention of the President and Prime Minister for immediate implementation of the CJ’s announcement. Convenor of the lawyers Parishad Advocate Abul Hashem read out the written statement before the journalists.
The leaders of the parishad congratulated the CJ for his kind announcement for establishment of circuit bench in chittasgong . Among others President of Ctg lawyers association Adv Kafiluddin, Adv.syed Md. Kamaluddin, Adv SM Bazlur Rashid, Adv. Nazimuddin were present in the press meet .
Decision to set up circuit bench of HC hailed: People of Chittagong expressed happiness and gratitude over government’s decision to set up a circuit bench of High Court in Chittagong.
The Circuit Bench of High Court Realization Parishad held a press conference at Chittagong Press club on Saturday afternoon. Convener of the Parishad Advocate Abul Hashem read out a written statement at the press conference.
Addressing the press conference former Public Prosecutor convener of the parishad Advocate Abul Hashem said, the demand for setting up a circuit bench of the High Court in Chittagong is very old.
People of Chittagong are demanding to set up the bench in Chittagong immediately. The Chief Justice declared that a new circuit bench of High Court in Chittagong will be set up soon.
The demand of Chittagong people has been realized by the decision.
He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the decision of setting up a circuit bench of High Court in Chittagong and urged her to implement the decision soon. Other leaders of the parishad were also present at the press conference.
