The bi-annual executive committee of the Greater Comilla Samiti, Narayanganj was announced on Sunday in a meeting held at its local Siddirganj office under the chairmanship of Md. Nur Alam. BM Shafiqul Islam Shafiq was elected as President of the 51-member committee while Farrukh Ahamed (Khosru) was elected as General Secretary.
The other members of the committee are: Md. Nur Alam, Abul Hasnat Md. Zafar and Dr. Harunur Rashid Aurang – Vice Presidents, Mushtaq Ahmed (Shawon)- Joint General Secretary, Organizing Secretary – Md. Zillur Rahman, Treasurer – Dr. Md. Abdur Rashid, Law Secretary – Adv. Monir Hossen, Publicity Secretary – Nazrul Islam Babu, Secretary for Health Affairs- Dr. Md. Shawkat Ali, Secretary for Education and Culture Abdullah Al-Mamun and others.
Among the persons of the 11-member advisory committee, the dignitaries included are Md. Zakirul Alam Helal, freedom fighter Abu Jafar Md. Tipu and others.
