State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Junaid Ahmed Palak said the government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is moving forward at a breakneck pace on the development highway with technology playing a helpful role in this development.
“The country is marching forward on the development highway with its own development spree. Technology is playing a useful role for this development,” he said.
The state minister said this while speaking at the foundation-stone laying ceremony of Natore-Bogura highway widening work in Sherkol Bazar area of Singra upazila as the chief guest. He said Bangladesh is moving ahead in development indicators despite the global recession in the coronavirus situation. Due to efficient leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the country has been upgraded from a food deficit country to a food surplus country and from a power deficit country to a power self-sufficient country, he added.
He said with the increase in the width of the highways and the construction of roads, the economic activities of the people have been boosted. Natore Deputy Commissioner Md Shahriaz, Natore-Bogura Highway Widening Project’s Roads and Highways Department and Project Director Additional Chief Engineer (Rangpur Region) Md Moniruzzaman and Singra Upazila Awami League Organizing Secretary Lutful Habib Rubel also spoke on the occasion.
