Gopibagh Friends Association beat Young Pegasus A by 37 runs in the Dhaka Second Division Cricket League held on Tuesday at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.
Asked to bat first, Gopibagh scored a challenging total of 268 for 5 from their allotted 50 overs with Sabbir Akter making 99 runs.
Dibby Joyti, Rezaul, Bishal and Kamal, shared one wicket for Gopibagh FA.
In reply, despite some valiant efforts, Young Pegasus A fell short of the target as they were restricted at 231 for in 50 overs. Middle order batsman Ronny Islam contributed 56 runs while Dibby Joyti added unbeaten 50 runs for Young Pegasus.
M Shahidul of Gopibagh was the most successful bowler as he hauled three Young Pegasus wickets after conceding 23 runs.
