Golapganj Municipality of Sylhet has announced a budget of Tk 52.33 crore for the financial year 2021-22. Mayor of Golapganj Municipality Aminul Islam Rabel announced the budget at 12 noon on Monday (June 26).
In the proposed budget, the total income has been estimated at Tk 52.33 crore and the total expenditure has been estimated at Tk 51.06 crore. The budget surplus is 48 lakh 8 thousand 328 rupees. In the proposed budget, the revenue income has been fixed at Tk 4 crore 63 lakh 63 thousand 328 and the revenue in the development sector has been fixed at Tk 29 crore 50 lakh.
Panel Mayor Helaluzzaman Helal, Councilor Ruhin Ahmed Khan, Fazlul Alam, Faruk Ali, Jaban Ali, Jahed Ahmed, Nazurul Islam, Shifa Begum, Monowara Ferdous, Meherun Nesha, Assistant Engineer Mosharraf Hossain, Municipal Secretary Nikunja Banerjee also attend the programme.
At the beginning of the budget announcement, Mayor Aminul Islam Rabel remembered the name of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with respect.
He also recalled the names of the late Sirajul Jabbar Chowdhury, former mayor of the municipality, the late municipal councilor and prominent personalities of the municipality.
