Many patients are dying due to lack of oxygen during corona. Like other parts of the world, the number of corona patients is increasing every day in Gafargaon of Mymensingh. The number of patients in the local hospital is also high. Mymensingh Medical College Hospital also has oxygen crisis. In this situation, with the direction of the local MP Fahmi Golandaj Babel, under the overall management of Municipality Mayor SM Iqbal Hossain Sumon, ‘Golandaj’ voluntary organization is providing oxygen service in the area.
It is learned that 15 oxygen cylinders are being used to provide oxygen service to the victims of Corona. Afroza Akhter of 5th ward of the municipal city is suffering from severe shortness of breath. Her husband hurriedly posted on Facebook about the child.
After a while, the workers of Golandaj voluntary organization came to the house with oxygen.
Md. Tajul Islam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, said that this is an example of volunteer labor in providing oxygen and ambulance services to Corona patients by Golandaj Volunteers on their mobile phones.
Alamgir, a corona patient in Ward 3, said, “I might not have survived if the artillery volunteers had not given me oxygen in time.” The head of the organization said, Tajmun Ahmed, the joint convener of the Municipal Juba League, said.
“This is our voluntary service during the coronation period under the direction of local MP Fahmi Golandaj Babel.” Our team is delivering oxygen to the house as soon as the patient receives the news on his mobile phone. “In addition to the oxygen service, we, the ‘Artillery Volunteers’ staff, get news of any patient anywhere,” he added. If necessary, we can help them with ambulance.
