The global Covid death toll has now surpassed 4.7 million as the race for mass vaccination continues.
The total caseload and fatalities from the virus stand at 234,239,476 and 4,790,858, respectively, as of Saturday morning, according to Johns Hopkins University (JHU).
So far, 6,261,231,161 Covid vaccine doses have been administered across the globe, as per the university data.

India’s Covid-19 tally on Friday rose to 33,766,707 as 26,727 new confirmed cases were registered in the past 24 hours nationwide, as per the federal health ministry data.
