Police rescued a girl in Habiganj on Sunday morning, three days after she was allegedly kidnapped.
A woman named Nazu Akter, of Jashkeshari at Ajmiriganj in Habiganj, was arrested for her suspected involvement in the incident, police said.
Ajmiriganj police officer-in-charge Mosharraf Hossain Tarafder said they rescued the victim from a house in Habiganj town and arrested the woman from the house.
Earlier on Thursday evening, Rajib Ahmad, 20, son of Tazammul Ali of Jashkeshari in Ajmiriganj, allegedly kidnapped the victim from her parents’ home. The victim’s family later filed a case in this regard with the police station, the police officer said.
