A poetry evening of self-composed poems and recitation titled Shishirey Kobitar Spondon was held on the premises of Sanskrit Bikash Kendro in the city’s Poribagh area organised by Ghasful, a media house, recently.
Country’s noted poets gathered the programme Shishirey Kobitar Spondon. Presided over by Mahbub Talukdar the function began by introductory speech by Ata Sarkar, internationally renowned economist and Banlga Academy awarded biography writer Dr Mahfuzur Rahman addressed. Journalist and poet Bazlur Raihan presented the keynote paper in the function.
Poets Anwara Syed Huq, Mahbub Sadik, Habibullah Siraji, Mashuk Choudhury, Faruq Mahmud, Bimal Guha, Nasir Ahmed, Jafrul Ahsan, Iqbal Aziz, Alamgir Reza Chowdhury, Hasan Hafiz, Golam Kibria Pinu, Farid Ahmed Dulal, Aslam Sani, Farid Kabir, Bilu Kabir, Zharna Rahman, Minar Mansur, Rezauddin Stalin, Maruf Raihan, Chanchal Ashraf, Aniket Shamim, Shelly Naz, Junan Nashit and Parvin Akter read out self composed poems in the function, while Afroza Parvin, Ferdous Ara Kobita and Kamrul Ahsan also read other poems.
The function was anchored by Rabia Sultana Panna and Mahmudul Hasan Rubel.
