Ghasful, a media house, organised a seminar and cultural
programme on Bengali and English edition of Gitanjali, the
masterpiece of Rabindranath Tagore on the occasion of his birth anniversary at AS Mahmud Hall of Daily Star Centre in the city recently. Presided over by Emeritus Professor Dr Anisuzzaman, the key note paper was presented by Dr Hayat Mamud and discussed by Ahmad Rafique, Tagore exponent, Ali Ahmad, literature and
translator, Prof Ferdous Azim, Chairperson of the Department of
English of BRAC University, Prof Harunuzzaman, Professor of the Department of English of Independent University of Bangladesh, Syed Badrul Ahsan, Executive Editor of Daily Star and Syed Zakir Hossain, Proprietor of Adorn Publications.
Noted artiste Priyanka Gope rendered Tagore song and Bhaswar Bandyopadhyay recited the poem.
The programme was anchored by Rabia Sultana Panna and
Mahmudul Hasan Rubel.
