General holidays extended further

The government has extended the ongoing general holiday until May 5 amid rapid rise in coronavirus cases in the country.
State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain came up with the announcement on Wednesday after a meeting.
He said they have also given some new directives this time.On March 23, the government declared general holidays from March 26 to April 4, aiming to prevent the transmission of coronavirus.
Later, the holidays were extended four times until April 25 — first from April 5 to April 9, then from April 10 to April 14, later from April 15 to April 16 and finally from April 17 to April 25.
The total number of coronavirus (Covid-19) positive cases in Bangladesh rose to 3,772 by Wednesday, with 120 of them dead, according to the Ministry of Health.
