A freedom fighter was killed and three others were injured in a road accident near the Lawacherra forest area in Srimangal-Kamalgonj Highway in Kamalgonj Upazila of the district on Saturday. The deceased was identified as ff Romapada Dey, 60 son of late Romraj Dey Tilagaon village of Kulaura Upazila at the district.
Witnesses said rashly driven driver uncontrolled the pickup van hit opposition coming auto Rickshaw then four passengers injured seriously.
Then locals rushed them 250 seated Moulvibazar Hospital. After that duty Medical officer declared to dead around 5pm. Contacted, Office-in-charge of Kamalgonj Police station Nihar Ranjon Nath confirmed the matter to The Daily New Nation.
