Convener of the Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum Advocate Khandker Mahbub Hossain on Monday warned that the lawyers would be bound to take to the street if the government did not release BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia immediately.
In a rally organized on the Supreme Court premises, he also said, “We are warning the government to give opportunity to Khaleda Zia for her advance treatment by releasing her. Otherwise, the mass uprising of the people will throw this dictator into dust.”
The Pro-BNP lawyers of the Supreme Court organized this rally demanding immediate release of the BNP Chairperson.
Member Secretary of the Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Forum Advocate Fazlur Rahman presided over the programme.
Advisor to the BNP Chief Advocate Ahmed Azam Khan, Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokan, Barrister Kayser Kamal, Advocate Abed Raja, Barrister Badruddoza Badol, Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kazal, Dr Farhat Hossain, Advocate Umme Kulsum Rekha, among others, attended the rally.
Advocate Fazlur Rahman said, “Khaleda Zia is facing injustice. If the judiciary does injustice to Khaleda Zia, then we are not really obliged to accept it. People of the country will not accept that trial.”
