Four shareholders of the Dhaka Stock Exchange have been elected to its Board of Directors.
Shakil Rizvi, Managing Director of Shakil Rizvi Stock Ltd, Mohammad Shahjahan of Jahan Securities Ltd, Khwaja Ghulam Rasul of Khwaja Equity Services Ltd and Sharif Anowar Hossain of Md Shahidullah Securities Ltd now have a place in the DSE boardroom.
The election was held at the DSE office from 10:30am to 4:30pm.
District and Sessions’ Judge (retd) Md Shamsul Haq announced the results.
A total of 217 out of 242 voters cast their vote.
Rizvi polled 184, Shahjahan 152, Rasul, 147, Hossain 140 Altogether six candidates contested.
