Four killed in road crashes

Four people, including a police constable, were killed and three others injured in separate road accidents at Dhamrai in Dhaka and Munshiganj districts early Sunday.
In Munshiganj, two people, including a policeman, were killed and three others injured following a collision between a bus and a private car on Dhaka-Mawa Highway in Sreenagar upazila early in the morning.
The deceased were identified as Abdur Razzak, 42, a constable of Ramna Police Station of the capital and son of late Abdul Malek Khan of Hironmoy Kandi village in Kashiani upazila of Gopalganj district and
private car driver Abdus Salam, 40. Officer-in-charge of Sreenagar Police Station Sheikh Mahbubur Rahman said the Dhaka-bound bus of ‘Sundarban Paribahan’ collided with a private car on the highway at Keutchira early in the morning, leaving the two dead on the spot and three others injured.
The accident took place when constable Razzak along with his family members was going to his village home Hironmoy Kandi after hearing the death news of his mother.
The three injured-Razzak’s wife Amena Khatun, 38, son Ratul, 8, and nephew Aslam, 30, — were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
In Dhaka, two truck labourers-Harun-or-Rashid of Dhamrai upazila, and Dulal Mia of Bhagabanpur village in Sadar upazila of Manikganj district – were injured as a truck hit their truck on Dhaka-Aricha Highway at Dautia in Dhamrai upazila of Dhaka district early Sunday, said assistant sub-inspector Bablu Mia of Dhamrai Police Station.
They were taken Dhamrai Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared them dead around 5am.
A case was filed with Dhamrai Police Station.
