The 1st founding anniversary of the children-juvenile magazine Kochipata was celebrated at the Jatiya Press Club on Friday last.. The programme was presided over by Vice Principal Professor Anjuman Ara of Tejgoan College, Dhaka. The chief guest was Advocate Samsun Nahar, MP, Reserved Seat, Sunamgonj-Moulavibazar.
The special guests were Nazrul Researcher, Poet Abdul Muqit Chowdhury, Poet Mohiuddin Akbor, children juvenile literatteur Shameema Jafrin, publisher-editor Saiful Faruki and banker Shamim Ahmed.
The welcome speech was delivered by Aleya Bagum Alo, the Editor and Publisher of Kochipata.
In the programme three junior writers were awarded and 11 senior personalities were awarded for their contribution to the society and more 55 children were awarded prizes as winners of art competition.
Poet Mansur Muzammil and Zaima Nahyan Khondkar conducted the function.
