Former health officer Dr. Ashim Sarker has been arrested in Kolkata , India on August 10 .
He was arrested from his own residence at Rajarhat of Kolkata by Kolkata police following the cheque defalcation case, a sources of Chittagong City Corporation said. Ashim hailed from Hathazari thana of Chittagong , son of Sunil Sarker. He left CCC service in 2011 and migrated to Kolkata .
Chief Health Officer of CCC Dr. Selim Chowdhury said, Dr.Ashim has resigned from service of CCC in 2011 . CHO officer of CCC also said Dr.Ashim resigned from service on plea of his wife’s sickness in deadly disease cancer.
