Former BCB secretary Reza-e-Karim passes away

Staff Reporter: Bangladesh Cricket Board’s former General Secretary Reza-e-Karim passed away in the early hours on Sunday.
He breathed his last at the Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in Dhaka after a long battle with multiple health conditions including cancer.
He was 82.
Reza-e-Karim played a vital role as one of the pioneers of organised cricket’s return to post-liberation Bangladesh as the secretary of the then BCCB’s first division league and tournament committee in 1974-75.
He was also the secretary of the BCCB in 1976-77, when the first constitution of the board was drafted.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held today (Sunday) after zuhr prayers at Baitush Sharaf Mosque, Tejgaon Monipuri Para. He will be buried at the Martyred Intellectuals Graveyard in Mirpur.
