The authority of Islamic University (IU) on Wednesday appointed five new deans of recently launching five faculties of the university.
Prof Dr Momtajul Islam, Prof Dr M Anowarul Haque, Prof Dr SM Mostofa Kamal, Prof Dr Nesar Uddin Ahmad and Prof Dr Nasim Banu have been appointed as the deans of Engineering and Technology faculty, Biological Science faculty, Science faculty, Arts faculty and Social Sciences faculty of the university respectively.
IU VC Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari appointed them to the posts for next two years.
Engineering and Technology Faculty, Biological Science Faculty and Science Faculty were launched through dissolving of Applied Science and Technology Faculty while Arts Faculty and Social Sciences Faculty were launched through dissolving of Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty of the university.
