Noted Film Director Belal Ahmed died of cardiac arrest at Square Hospital in the city on Monday morning. He was 66.
He left behind his wife and a son to mourn his death.
He directed many leading Bengali feature films such as ‘Nayaner Alo, Nagor Dola, Bandhan, ‘Sangkhonil Karagar’ and ‘Onishchito Jatra’.
Besides, his last film ‘Tabuo Bhalobashi’, was released in association with the Impress Telefilm.
President and General Secretary of Bangladesh Cine Journalist Association Abdur Rahman and Iqbal Karim respectively have expressed condolence over the death of Belal Ahmed and extended sympathy to the bereaved family members. They prayed for the salvation of the departed soul.
