Police recovered the throat-slit body of a female college student from Santinagar Arambagh area of the district town here on Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Eti Chakma, 17, a second-year student of Khagrachhari Government College. She is daughter of Antrarendrio Chakma, a resident of Chhantilapara in Dighinala upazila of the district.
She used to live at her sister’s house in Arambagh area of the town.
Atal Chakma, brother-in-law of the deceased, said he found Eti’s throat-slit body lying in her bed room when opened the door around 9pm and he immediately informed the police.
Police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to Hospital for autopsy.
