Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall emerge champions of the Inter-Hall Football Competition of Dhaka University (DU) when they beat Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haq Hall by 3-2 goals in the tie-breaker of the final at the Central Play Ground of DU on Tuesday.
The stipulated time of the match ended in a goalless draw. Thus the fate of the match was decided in the tie-breaker.
After the final match Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest. President of the University Football Committee Professor Dr Sheikh Shamimul Alam presided over the prize-giving ceremony.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor of DU Professor Dr Shahid Akhter Hussain and Treasurer of DU Professor Dr Md Kamal Uddin delivered the speech as special guests. Provosts of different halls of DU and officials of physical education centre of DU were present at the time.
