Five-time Grammy award-winning country singer Faith Hill appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert Tuesday night, where she shared the
horrifying moment she forgot the lyrics to The Star-Spangled Banner.
With Super Bowl LVI approaching, Hill reminisced on the time she was asked to sing the national anthem in the year 2000.
It was “the most extraordinary amount of pressure ever,” shared the country singer. Hill added, “Singing the national anthem for the Super Bowl was terrifying. However, when I sang it, the Tennessee Titans happened to make it to the Super Bowl that same
year. And I had accepted the honour.”
