FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman finished 3rd in the 2nd Freedom Fighter Sailesh Chowdhury Dhar Memorial International Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament which concluded in Guwahati, Asam, India on Tuesday.
Fahad and Dilip Das of India earned 7 points each from their nine round games. Fahad placed 3rd in tie-breaking system.
Prantik Roy of India emerged champion with 8 points while Santanu Borpatra Gohain finished runner-up with 7.5 points.
A total of 90 players took part in the five day event (August 14 to 18).
