The three-day “EXIM Bank Cup Golf Tournament-2016” ended through a colourful ceremony at Rangpur Golf Club (RGC) in Rangpur Cantonment here on Friday night, a press release said.
More than 100 contestants of different Golf Clubs from all over the country participated in the male, female, junior and sub-junior groups of the tournament sponsored by Export Import Bank of Bangladesh Limited (EXIM Bank).
Rangpur Area Commander, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 66 Infantry Division and President of RGC Major General Md Masud Razzaque, ndc, afwc, psc, attended the inaugural and concluding ceremonies of the tournament as the chief guest while Director of EXIM Bank Major (Retd) Khandaker Nurul Afsar was present as special guest.
In the Male Group, golfer Major General Md Masud Razzaque secured the first position as golfer Brigadier General Abul Fazal Md Sanaullah won the best gross award.
Golfer Brigadier General Shefaul Kabir became the runner up while golfer Major Shafik won the second runner up award.
Golfer Nafi Fazal secured the maxim par award as golfer Hasibul Karim won award for making the longest drive.
Golfer Brigadier General Shams won the nearest to pin award while golfer Enamul Haque Sohel won the ‘conventional on’ award. In Female Group, golfer Mrs Shahida Fazal became the winner while golfer Mrs Nasrine Haque Bobby was awarded for becoming the best gross.
Fida secured the first position while Shova became the runner up in Junior Group.
In Sub-Junior Group, Rehan, Wadi and Elhan became the winners.
Major General Md Masud Razzaque distributed awards among the winners in a colourful prize distribution ceremony participated by high-ranking military officials, golfers and local journalists.
The prize-giving ceremony was followed by a colourful cultural function.
