A former student of Bangladesh University of Textile (BUTEX), now doctoral student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in USA, is working on the invention of a device to detect the cancer cell beforehand.
Ikra Iftekhar Shuvo said this while sharing his story during a seminar jointely organised by BUTEX Fabric Engineering Department and BUTEX Business Club in BUTEX auditorium on Thursday.
“People in our country are being affected by the incurable cancer disease. Its treatment is scanty and cost is high. We cannot save many cancer patients as we don’t have any prior knowledge about it. So I am working on a device which will detect cancer cell beforehand,” he added.
He also urged the students to engage themselves on the practical education which can help people.
