Abul Khair Chowdhury, Asstt. Governor of International Rotary has been elected as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Eastern University (EU) for 2015-16. The election was held recently in the 12th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Eastern University Foundation.
Mohammad Enayet Ullah, the outgoing Chairman, handed over the charge of Chairmanship to AK. Chowdhury while industrialist Rezakul Haider, Nuruddin Dewan and Md. Azizul Islam were elected as the Vice-Chairman and Engr Kh Mesbah Uddin Ahmed has been elected as the Treasurer of EU.
Members of EU congratulated the new chairman on taking over the charge. Among others, VC, Pro VC and Registrar were present at the meeting.
