Sustainable national uplifts could not be attained without mainstreaming the huge disabled population with the national development activities through ensuring their equal human rights as per the concerned UN Convention, they said.

They said sustainable national uplift is not possible without turning the people with disabilities into able and worthy human resources through ensuring their equal socio-political and human rights in the society.
Terming the people with disabilities as the integral part of the society, the speakers said the disabled people could do the same as the able if adequate opportunities were provided to enjoy the basic human rights like others.
They called upon the government for taking steps so that the disabled people had their proportionate representations in the local government bodies as well as in the parliament so that their equal rights were established in every sphere of the society.
