edotco has been conferred the “2016 Southeast Asia Telecoms Tower Company of the Year Award” by Frost & Sullivan in a ceremony recently in Singapore.
The award is part of the annual Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Best Practices Awards ceremony that acknowledges companies that excel in their business segments as well as their efforts to develop the industry for the year 2015, said a edotco press release on Monday.
The contenders for the Southeast Asia Telecoms Tower Company of the Year Award were evaluated on a variety of actual market performance indicators which include revenue growth, market share and growth in market share, leadership in product innovation, breadth of products and solutions, major customer acquisitions, and business and market strategy, amongst other category-specific criteria.
A team of 30 leading Frost & Sullivan analysts and consultants based in Asia-Pacific were involved in the short listing, evaluation and research process, applying the same thorough approach that has been the hallmark of Frost & Sullivan globally.
Frost & Sullivan’s Senior Vice President of Digital Transformation Asia Pacific, Andrew Milroy said, “edotco has demonstrated market leadership and growth, as well as establishing wider geographic presence and deploying increasingly innovative products and services.”
In 2015, edotco had successfully launched energy solutions and active operations and maintenance (O&M) services in Bangladesh, introduced its innovative mobility solution (also known as “BTS Hotel”) in Malaysia and improved service uptime to 99.89%.
The company also successfully acquired a majority stake in the Myanmar Tower Company (MTC) and thus entered Myanmar – the last greenfield telecom market and one of the fastest developing telecom infrastructure markets in the region.
