Economic Reporter :
edotco Bangladesh Co. Ltd. (“edotco”) recently introduced its roof top camouflaged tower structure in the country, according to a press release.
The innovative, attractive and first of its kind structure in Bangladesh has been built on the Chittagong Boat Club building.
edotco’s innovative camouflage designed tower structure protects the aesthetic look of the city and reduces the number of traditional towers required on roof tops that cause unnecessary pressure on buildings.
Such structures locally designed in edotco will enhance the look of the city, decrease pressure on the building, ensure network connectivity and minimize power consumption.
While this is the first of many oncoming initiatives in the country by edotco, the Group has already established several camouflage-structured towers in Malaysia.
The company is planning to spread such innovations in Bangladesh from 2016 onwards.
Such aesthetically aware and environment friendly roof top camouflage structures are very resilient as they are built from Fiberglass Reinforced Products (FRP). Structures built from this material do not get affected by heavy rain and storms, therefore ensuring uninterrupted network connectivity.
Darryll Sinnappa, Managing Director of edotco Bangladesh Co. Ltd. said, “We design structures with the objective of blending in with the architectural design of the building. It is our vision to play a leadership role in aesthetic camouflage structures throughout the nation.”
edotco Bangladesh aims to digitally enhance the nation, while keeping the environment and aesthetic sense of the city as a top priority.
Established in 2012, edotco is a wholly owned telecommunication infrastructure services subsidiary of Axiata with independence in its management and operations. edotco provides end-to-end solutions in the tower services sector including co-locations, build-to-suit, energy, transmission and operations and maintenance O&M) in the region of Asia.
