State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder on Saturday said all sectors of the country’s economy have already made a rebound due to timely announcement of the stimulus packages in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
He also urged all to work in unison to materialize the dream of building ‘Sonar Bangla’ as envisioned by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Kamal Mojumder said this while distributing warm clothes among the poor and helpless cold-stricken people on the premises of Haji Ali Hossain High School in the capital, said a PID handout.
Mentioning that it is the moral duty of well-off section of the society to help the poor people, the state minister said affluent persons of the society would have to stand beside the cold-ridden people irrespective of their class and creed.
“All will have to come forward to discharge their duties to the society,” he said.
The state minister from his own fund distributed warm clothes among 500 poor people of his constituency.
Local Awami League leaders and other eminent personalities were present.
