A marriage function of Takurpara village of East Guzra of Raozan Upazila stopped by the law enforcing agency members on Monday last.
Our Raozan correspondent said the guardian of the class Nine student of Mohamadia Madrasa Yasin Akhtar supposed to married with one Jane Alam on that day. Acting on secret information, Upazila Nirbahi officer of Raozan Md. Shamim Hossain rushed to the marriage venue at Noapara immediately alongwith the law enforcing members and instantly stopped the formalities of the marriage function there and imposed penalty of Tk. One thousand to father of bride.
The parents of the bride gave undertakings to the Executive Magistrate to refrain from such dealings taking daughter in future, sources said.
