Fatema Begum, Principal Assistant Proctor of Dhaka University (DU), died of a cardiac arrest at her university residence on the campus on Sunday night.
She was 60.
Fatema Begum is survived by her two sons and a host of relatives and well wishers.
Her Namaj-e-Janaza will be held at university central mosque at 10am today. Later, she will be buried at her village graveyard at Shahrasti in Chandpur district, the release said.
DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique expressed profound shock at the death of Fatema Begum.
In a message of condolence, the VC prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and convoyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
