Drugs worth about Taka 5.35 crore were destroyed at Comilla Police Line yesterday. The drugs included 1,19,865 yaba tablets, 338-kilo cabbabis, 545 bottles of phensidyl syrup and 642 bottles foreign wine.
The banned drugs were seized by the police from different areas of the district in November and December of 2015. Besides, 100,000 pieces CD cassettes were also destroyed, police sources said. Chief judicial magistrate M. Jesayet Uddin, police super Shah Abid Hossain and other official concerned were present on the occasion.
