Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) arrested a drug trader with 10,000 pieces of yaba tablets from city’s Ekkilometer area under Chandgaon thana early Friday.
The arrested person was identified as Mohammad Nurul Amin, 42, hailing from College Para area under Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar district. On a tip-off, a team of the Chandgaon thana police detained the drug trader in front of Mohona Community center of Ekkilometer area under Chandgaon thana and recovered the contraband drugs after searching his bag, police said.
The arrested person brought the Yaba tablets from Cox’s Bazar for selling it in the port city, the sources said. A case filed with Chandgaon Thana in this connection.
