Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB) on Thursday expressed deep shock at the sad demise of M Khalilur Rahman, father of the organisation’s general secretary and Jamuna TV special correspondent Mahfuzur Rahman Mishu.
DCAB President Rezaul Karim Lotus in a message, conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members and sought salvation of the departed soul. Khalilur Rahman, a freedom fighter and former officer of Bangladesh Police, breathed his last at his Rajshahi residence on Thursday morning. He was 72 and left his wife, a son, a daughter and host of relatives to mourn his death. He has long been suffering from cancer.
He will be buried at their family graveyard after namaj-e-janaja at Sardah Eidgah Maidan at 5:30 pm.
