A new gold medal titled “Dr. Md. Azizul Hakim Gold Medal” has been introduced at the Department of Information Science and Library Management of Dhaka University (DU) on Wednesday.
Mrs. Asuma Begum, wife of late Dr. Md. Azizul Hakim handed over a cheque of Taka 10 lakh to DU Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Kamal Uddin on Wednesday at the Vice-Chancellor’s office to introduce it. Out of the income of this donation, every year one meritorious student of the department who will secure the highest CGPA in Bachelor of Arts examination will be given the award.
DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Arts Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Abu. Md. Delwar Hossain, Prof. Dr. Kazi Mostak Gausul Hoq, other faculty members and donor’s family members were present, among others, on this occasion.
