Pro-Vice-Chancellor of Northern University Bangladesh, Professor Dr. Anwarul Karim, went to India to attend a two-day long international seminar on “Bengali Language and Literature” as a special guest.
The seminar started on Tuesday at Rabindra Bharati University in Kolkata.
Vice-Chancellor of Rabindra Bharati University Professor Sabyasachi Basu Ray Choudhory inaugurated the seminar, while renowned Professor Amitrahsudan Bhattacharya of Visva-Bharati Santiniketan was the chief guest.
Professor Anwarul Karim is best known as a researcher on Lalon Fakir and Baul cult. He has contribution to Rabindra literature also. He was the founder-Director of Lalon Academy, Kushtia and a visiting scholar of Harvard University,USA.
