BSS, Dhaka :
Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Monday filed cases against three organisations for having stagnant water on their premises as it promotes mosquito breeding.
“Regular cases have been filed with the court against airport railway station, civil aviation authority and authority of ASEAN City,” said Regional Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate of DNCC’s Zone-6 Motakabbir Ahmed.
Mayor M Atiqul Islam on Monday inspected the ongoing integrated
mosquito eradication operation (crash program) behind the airport railway station, areas adjacent to Haji Camp, ASEAN City area and Dakshinkhan Bazar area and directed DNCC officials to file the cases.
The DNCC’s area-based crash program, which began on March 6 with an aim of controlling Culex mosquitoes, continued for the seventh day on Monday.
