On the eve of Eid-ul Azha, Dhaka Metropolitan Police [DMP] authorities promoted 1,171 low-level police personnel on Monday.
Of them, a total of 1,100 constables were promoted to assistant sub-inspectors [ASI]. Besides, 43 constables were made assistant town sub-inspectors [ATSI] while 28 ATSI were
promoted to town sub-inspectors.
Confirming the matter Detective Branch Deputy Commissioner Sheikh Nazmul Alam said DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia signed documents yesterday motning.
Earlier on Sep 6, the government approved appointment of 7,139 new police officers in different departments in the DMP.
