Customers of Dhaka WASA, from now, will pay their bills through Mobile Financial Service “FSIBL FirstPay SureCash of First Security Islami Bank Limited. Customers will also get a confirmation SMS instantly while sending their bills, says a press release.
The Inauguration ceremony of Dhaka WASA bill payment through “FSIBL FirstPay SureCash” held on Monday at a city Hotel. Engr Taqsem A Khan, Managing Director of Dhaka WASA and AAM. Zakaria, Managing Director of FSIBL were present at the function. At present, the customers of Dhaka WASA are now paying bills through 350 branches of 21 government and private banks.
Managing Director of Dhaka WASA and the Managing Director of FSIBL spoke on the occasion. Addressing the program Engr Taqsem A Khan, Managing Director of Dhaka WASA said, Dhaka WASA is moving forward to develop an environment-friendly; sustainable and customer-friendly water management system. Dhaka WASA has launched the real-time online banking to reduce the hassle of the customers, he added. Engr Taqsem said, Dhaka WASA would be able to shift its paradigm by shifting its production from 28 per cent to 70 per cent from the surface water sources by 2019, he hoped.
Dhaka WASA is currently producing 242 crore litre water per day against the demand of 230 crare litres of the city dwellers and is producing 22 per cent of its total production from the surface water sources.
