Miscreants set fire on two Dhaka-bound launches in Barisal on Tuesday evening.
The launch MV Sundatban-7 and MV Parabat -10 were coming to Dhaka. The miscreants set fire on three cabins in the first floor of the launches at about 8:40pm, Nazrul Islam, In-Charge of River Police Outpost said.
Panic spread among the passengers as the fire engulfed the whole deck. Later, both the launches were taken away from the jetty to a safe place. None was reportedly injured in the incident.
In another incident, three passengers received burn injuries when miscreants set fire on CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Daganbhuiyan in Feni at 9:00pm yesterday.
