A.K.M. Shahnawaj has recently been promoted as the Deputy Managing Director of Dhaka Bank Ltd., said a Dhaka Bank press release.
Prior to taking this position, he was the Senior Executive Vice President and Branch Manager of Local Office (Principal Branch) of the Bank.
Mr. Shahnawaj started his banking career back in 1989 with Arab Bangladesh Bank Ltd as a Probationary Officer. In his long 29 years of banking profession, he has also served Muslim Commercial Bank Ltd, Bank Asia Ltd and presently Dhaka Bank in different positions, mostly as the Head of Credit / CRM, Regional Manager, Chattogram and Manager of different corporate branches at Dhaka and Chattogram.
Mr. Shahnawaj obtained his MBA from IBA, University of Dhaka after completing graduation from the University of Chattgram with honors in Economics.
He attended a good number of trainings, seminars, workshops on banking, management and leadership at home and abroad. He is also associated with different service clubs of the country.
