Two delegations of the Department for International Development (DFID) and Stimulating Household Improvements Resulting in Economic Empowerment (SHIREE) visited the ongoing socioeconomic empowerment of the poorest (EEP) programmes here in Gangachara upazila on Friday afternoon. High officials of the donor organisations visited and inspected the achievements under the pathways from poverty (PFP-SHIREE) Project activities at Dhamur Embankment village on the bank of the river Teesta and talked to the beneficiaries. Practical Action, Bangladesh (PAB), a reputed NGO, has been implementing the project activities, being funded by EEP SHIREE (DFID-UK) and Ministry of Rural development and cooperative in partnership with PNGO UNDP.
