Staff Reporter: Police has recovered a dead body of a Deputy Secretary of labour and employment ministry from his residence at the government officers’ quarter on Bailey Road in Dhaka.
Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Ramna Police Station told journalists that Police recovered the decomposed body of Abdul Quader Chowdhury (59) from a room in his flat on Wednesday evening. The OC said it on Thursday.
Neighbors informed the police that they found acute stink from the house, the OC’s said.
He said that the Deputy Secretary hailing from Bhola was living the flat alone.
The OC said also that he might have died of illness several days back.
The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy, he added.
